It has been printed that public officials allow some partiality into criminal justice systems when they allow victims to participate in the criminal proceedings.

Officials are supposed to be impartial, but are they?

Discuss potential motivations of officials harmful to the concept of impartiality.

Argue for or against the 2013 federal government’s definition of rape and explain which do you think is more representative of the crime and how reasonable doubt may be easier (or more difficult) to establish at a criminal trial.

The terminology alternative dispute resolution (ADR) has gained new and fresh meaning to me. Previously, I believed that all court cases must be determined and decided in courts. On the contrary, the terminology ADR means that other means of settling disputes that are done outside the courtroom. In this case, the law or criminal justice systems provide a leeway to ensure that the court cases can be decided without following the regular court proceeding. In this case, the cases are decided through arbitration, mediation, conciliation, negotiation, and neutral Assessment.
The supreme court has sometimes ordered the compulsory arbitration of court cases that are equated to alternative dispute resolution. For instance, in the case of Shearson/American Express v. McMahon, 483 U.S. 1056 (1987) the Supreme court ordered that the claims under the Exchange Act need to be arbitrated as opposed to litigation in the case that the contract requ8red that disputes between the parties were to be arbitrated.

It is mandatory for public officials especially those in the criminal justice system to be impartial as they participate in the criminal justice system. On the contrary, some barriers hinder officials from being impartial in the course of their operations. In this regard, the official lack impartiality in the case they are compromised by corruption, blood ties, threats, or coercion. This fact inclines the court officials to act partially.
On the other hand, there are different victims’ services in my community and they have a substantial impact on society. The victim services are directed and inclined towards supporting victims of crime. The victim services include emotional support, offering victims information, help in finding resources or paperwork, and liaising with social services or criminal justice agencies to help victims. The victims’ services have a great impact on the community as they enhance the justice and relief to the victims.
