Discuss how the impact of COVID-19 upon the population of Miami Dade. You have experienced the impact of the COVID-19 or pandemic. It was sudden and non-expected extent and gravity in the community. Based upon your observations and actual experiences discuss how the handling of the emergencies been mitigated in the terms of the determinants of health (ex: hospital access, tertiary prevention education, etc.) and respond to one of your classmates, based on what you’ve seen and what you’ve done talk about how the way the emergencies were handled affected the health determinants (such as hospital access, tertiary prevention education, etc.) and then talk to one of your classmates about what you learned.. IDEAS for discussion: In reference to hospital access, during covid was more difficult to show up to the hospital without advanced notice unless it was the emergency room, more difficult due to the new requirements that were put in place like prescreening virtually and on site, restrictions on visitors or number of guests in the lobbies, etc. For education, you can include the shift to virtual classrooms, meetings, etc for any type of gathering of that sort.
