Your first paper will ask you to visit a museum in person or tour a virtual exhibit. The choice is up to you. Regardless of which you choose, please be sure to discuss the following:
-What museum did you visit? Did you go in person or was it a virtual exhibit?
-What aspects of the museum and/or exhibit did you find most interesting? Why? Did the exhibits have hands-on or interactive components?
-How effective were the exhibits? If so, how was that handled? -Were there any parts of the story that you think were left out? Your paper must be at least two full pages. Not one and a half or one and three quarters, but two full pages. Please cite any sources you use, including text from online exhibits, in footnotes or parenthetical citations. I do not care what font you use, but please do not use anything larger than 12 point font. Please double space your paper as it makes it easier to read. Papers will be uploaded to Canvas or emailed to me. Your paper must be uploaded to Canvas or emailed to me by 11:59 pm on Sunday, October 9 or they will not be accepted. No late papers will be accepted.
Some Tallahassee area museums you could visit include the Museum of Florida History, Meek-Eaton Black Archives, John G. Riley Center, The Grove, Historic Capitol Museum, Mission San Luis, Goodwood Museum and Gardens, and the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum. I believe all of these are free except the last three.
