Your work at Liberia as a WHO representative in response to Ebola virus disease captured my attention as I have worked extensively in Liberia concerning the underprivileged population (Julias W., 2018). I accomplished my Master of Arts Degree in Disability Studies at the City University of New York, school of professional studies. However, getting a job In the United States has become challenging hence prompting my desire to work in Africa as I have prior experience as a volunteer in Africa refugees foundation.
In my work experience, currently, I’m a community engagement specialist enabling the ease of New York City opening by helping with patients at risk or exposed to Covid-19. Correspondingly, I have worked as a direct support professional to offer training skills to individuals to ensure their health and safety in their respective environments. Consequently, my experience in working with different types of individuals has imparted me to solve problems, manage change and improve efficiency.
I have an intense zeal for helping others, and that’s why I have found such fulfillment in advancing support to individuals with disabilities by registering a non-profit organization in New York and pioneering the opening of the first Autism classroom in Monrovia, Liberia. Similarly, I have ten years of experience in radio, where I dealt with the underprivileged of the Liberian civil war by narrating their stories. Hence, my desire to help others through human rights engagement and community outreach programs motivates me to pursue a relevant career.
In my academic and work experience, I have gained leadership skills and integrated superior organizational, analytical, and communication skills, vital in consultancy. I’m confident that my proven work experience in the radio field, leadership, volunteerism, and community activism will be valuable in your organization.
