Nutrition ensures that sportsmen are healthy and in good shape to handle their different sports. In nutrition the sportsmen are guided on the proper diet and right consumption of different foods and nutrients to increase their capability in the field.
1.0 Introduction
Nutrition is a vital component to people involved in sports in the determination of the type of foods, the quantity of food, and levels of fluids to be taken by the athletes. Nutrition in sports ensures that sportsmen are involved in the consumption of organic food, vitamins, supplements, and minerals to give then energy and the capacity to engage in their different sports. It also ensures that sportsmen consume healthy and the right food to ensure they are emotionally and physically to engage in various sports appropriately.
2.0 Contemporary perceptions in sports nutrition
In contemporary times nutrition and dietetics are considered a vital aspect of sports for it greats contributes to success among the athletes. It is clear that sportsmen are involved in a lot of engaging activities that involve the use of energy (Fortes et al., 2019).
