Introduction
As an early elementary school teacher, my goal is to create a safe, fair, and effective learning environment for my students. My classroom management plan is based on the belief that clear and simple rules, along with consistent and fair enforcement of those rules, will minimize the need for disciplinary action. During these meetings, we will also recognize and celebrate students who have demonstrated excellent behavior.
Part 3: Student Behavior
The most important thing that my students will need to understand is that we are the best class in the school, and as a result, I expect them to adhere to the regulations and procedures that I have put in place for their safety. By hearing this message often, most students will internalize it and behave in the most professional manner both in and out of class. They will begin to believe that they must demonstrate to the other students why we are the greatest and how they too can be the best if they choose to follow the rules and procedures.
