This ensures that patients receive safe and effective treatment that is tailored to their specific needs.

CO 3: Applying knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and pharmacogenomics in prescribing patient treatment is crucial for ensuring that patients receive the most appropriate therapy. Understanding how drugs are metabolized, distributed, and eliminated in the body, as well as how genetic factors can influence drug response, allows the NP to make informed decisions about dosing and potential interactions.
