Create a floor plan for your IDEAL classroom

1) Create a floor plan for your IDEAL classroom. Make it great and be sure to consider a safe, well-organized, educationally focused environment. For this activity, you may:

Use one of the following programs
Planner 5D (Links to an external site.)
Floorplanner.com (need to sign up with email) (Links to an external site.)
Designing Your Classroom (Links to an external site.)
Select a different program that you are familiar with to use
Use colored pens, pencils and a ruler to create your own
Just be sure your project is something you can attach, or scan and send to me for viewing.

2) Create a list of Classroom Rules (Links to an external site.) that you would use in your classroom. For this part of the assignment, include:

How you would create this list of rules. Would the students be involved in the creation or would you keep rules consistent from year to year?
How do you plan to handle when students break the rules of the classroom? What type of consequences do you plan to enforce?
Please include an image of a behavior chart/plan or give a verbal explanation below your list of rules.
3) Create a list of Classroom Procedures (Links to an external site.) you would use in your classroom. Include a procedure for the following areas:

Morning Routine (entering the classroom)
Asking a question
Using the restroom
Transitioning from activities
Movement throughout the school (outside of the classroom)
Collecting papers
Dismissal
Any other areas you want to include
4) Once you have completed the items above, attach your floorplan, rules and procedures list to the Assignment Tab: How will I manage My Classroom?
