Moreover, technology can also affect mental health by reducing social interaction, increasing isolation, and inducing addiction. A survey of 1,500 adults in the United States found that 39% of them felt less happy because of their use of social media.

To protect public health from the negative impacts of technology, it is important to adopt some preventive measures. These include:

– Limiting the use of electronic devices and avoiding them before bedtime.
– Using hands-free devices or speakerphones when making calls.
– Keeping a safe distance from sources of EMR and using shielding materials or devices.
– Taking regular breaks from sitting and engaging in physical activity.
– Balancing screen time with face-to-face communication and social activities.
– Seeking professional help if experiencing symptoms of addiction or mental distress.

Technology can offer many benefits to society, but it can also pose serious threats to public health. Therefore, it is essential to be aware of the potential risks and take steps to minimize them. By doing so, we can enjoy the advantages of technology without compromising our well-being.
