Assignment
Purpose
The purpose of this direct care project is for learners to apply the nursing process to assess if the nursing care provided by professionally certified nurses will result in improved patient outcomes. This is Part 4 of 4 in the Direct Care Project.

Directions for Part 4
1. View the Direct Care Project Part 4 Tutorial.

2. Download the Direct Care Part 4: Evaluating the Project template below.
3. Gather the information from the surveys and attendance form.
4. Complete the template with the following:
a. Attendance form data
i. Include names, titles, and organization
b. Tables of results
i. PRE-Survey and POST-Survey results in numerical form (You must present to a total of 2 RN’s or more)
c. Interpretation of results
i. Summarize data in the tables
ii. Include any positive or negative changes
d. Reflection
i. Overall experience
ii. Summary of outcomes from the pre and post surveys
iii. Gaps in project (Examples: What else would have been helpful? More data? Better resources?)
iv. Barriers to the project (Examples: participant interest, time, limited resources, willingness for change)
e. Implications for future practice
i. How could this project impact your professional practice?
5. Submit the Direct Care Part 4: Evaluating the Project template and the attendance form. The attendance form will be a separate submission in the grades area.

Interpretation of Results
The initial survey indicated that the majority of the audience was already familiar with the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses. However, the post-survey showed that the audience learned more about these topics after my presentation. Specifically, they learned about the specific steps of the nursing process and the specific benefits of having a professionally certified nurse on their team.

Reflection
Overall Experience

I enjoyed this project because it gave me the opportunity to share my knowledge of the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses with other nurses. I was also able to learn from the nurses in the audience, who shared their own experiences with the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses.

Summary of Outcomes from the Pre and Post Surveys

However, the post-survey showed that the audience learned more about these topics after my presentation. Specifically, they learned about the specific steps of the nursing process and the specific benefits of having a professionally certified nurse on their team.

Gaps in Project

One gap in the project was that I did not have time to go into as much detail about the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses as I would have liked. I would have liked to have more time to answer questions from the audience and to discuss the topics in more depth.

Barriers to the Project

One barrier to the project was that I had to present to a group of nurses who were already familiar with the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses. This made it difficult to keep their attention and to provide them with new information.

Implications for Future Practice
I believe that this project could have a positive impact on my professional practice. By sharing my knowledge of the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses with other nurses, I can help to ensure that they are providing the best possible care to their patients. I also believe that this project has helped me to become a more effective communicator.

I would like to continue to learn more about the nursing process and the benefits of professionally certified nurses. I would also like to find ways to share this information with other nurses in a more effective way.
