DQ1: There are several levels of evidence present in relation to research and practice, including:

Level V: Evidence from expert opinion or case reports

DQ2: When critically appraising quantitative studies, the following factors must be assessed:

Validity: The extent to which a study measures what it is intended to measure
Reliability: The extent to which a study produces consistent results
Applicability: The extent to which the results of a study can be applied to real-world settings.
The most important factor is validity, as a study that is not valid cannot be considered reliable or applicable. Validity is important because it ensures that a study is measuring what it is intended to measure, and that the results can be considered credible. Without validity, the results of a study cannot be trusted and cannot be used to inform practice or make decisions.
