Summary:
The study seeks to examine the correlation that exists between borderline features in adolescents and TDV (Teen Dating Violence). The need to understand this issue arises from the lack of knowledge that explains the factors associated with intimate partner violence among adults. The study used 778 ethnically diverse samples where each of the individual self-report measures of dating violence in addition to the other borderline features such alcohol use and the inter-parental violence. Form all the results and analysis in this article, the measure that is linked to the mental state identification in one way or the other can be applied in identifying the symptoms related to the BPD. The central problem associated with BPD is the inability to precisely decode the cognitive-affective states that individuals suffering from the condition experience. Despite different researches being conducted on both the mental and health conditions of the individuals suffering from the situation, none of these researchers have mainly focused on the validity of the several intervention measures taken to better the interpersonal functionality of the patients of BPD.

Authors of the article conduct an extensive study in a specific environment to identify personal attributes and the different environmental conditions and factors that lead to the development of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). The research mainly seeks to examine the different risk factors brought about by isolation whereby we limit our knowledge to small sizes and how this is related to the development of BPD. The authors also examine the effects and influence that the different chronic and acute stressors that we are exposed to contribute to the risk of developing the disorder. The sample N=700 was selected from a group of mid-adolescence to young adulthood. The study used a multivariate analysis were focused on revealing the effects of the maternal externalization disorder history, family stress, the offspring internalization on the BPD risk. Building on the article, it is clear that the disorder is mainly characterized by identity disturbance, impulsive behavior, and unstable social relationship s among other factors. Some of the factors identified to contribute to high risks of BDP are adverse familial and environmental antecedents. This is based on clinical research conducted on individuals suffering from the disorder whereby they are associated with some factors that show that they were neglected and abused in their early developmental stages of development and growth.

The study investigates the changes in the AC (Affect consciousness) in individuals that are suffering from borderline or avoidant and how the changes have a relationship with the individual’s clinical status for three years. The study used a sample of 52 participants of which 79% were female that were aged over 30 years. The study used affect consciousness interview to do the evaluation. The symptom checklists 90-R was also used. Authors of this article state that there has not been found any complex and long-term treatment methods of this condition that can bring about an improved personality structure in individuals suffering from the situation. The study in the article mainly focuses on the different changes in the consciousness of the affected individuals. The study also researches on how these changes are linked with the patients’ clinical status suffering from the BPD. Building on the article, it turns out that unlike the notion shared by any that a patient suffering from BPD benefit from psychiatric medical interventions but it turns out that they gain minimal benefit. The most treatment that is regarded as useful is those that seek to minimize the symptomatic effects of the disorder such as suicidal thoughts and self-harm intentions among other symptoms of the condition.

The focus is to see how this relationship is related to the adult unwanted sexual experience. The study uses a sample of about 303 community women. The study used Modified Sexual experience surveys, diagnostic interviews, and borderline evaluation tests. The article talks about all the self-conscious emotions related to the borderline personality disorder as a critical reflection of the unwanted sexual experiences in adults. The participants filed questionnaires that formed the basis of the study. The impairments in behavior and other significant concerns especially when it comes to mental health are also given some highlights. From the article, unwanted sexual experiences, for example, are a key to the elicit SCE with most people having common reactions to the same. The SCE is in this article highlighted as the significant reactions to every other traumatic episode in cases of the borderline personality and self-conscious emotions. The study examines the association between BPD symptoms and the challenges that arise with emotional regulation and trait impulsivity. The study uses a sample of 150 participants. The study would seek to use multivariate analysis to come up with the final results. The study uses the ASPD and BPD measures. There is also the use of the emotion dysregulation and aggression penetration and victimization. In this study, the discussion is narrowed to understanding the prospective perspective that includes the relationship between all these features of Emotion regulation, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Aggression. The key to this discussion is based on the various challenges related to the emotion regulations and also the issues surrounding the behavioral instability. All these include the impulsive aggression which in reality are the core measure and dimension that is related to the borderline personality disorder. Attack and the borderline personality disorder are therefore related regarding the associations in the regulation of emotions challenge. The others, however, can be distinctively not associated because some, like the antisocial personality disorder and the BPD, are related regarding impulsivity. As per this study, the relationship between all these is founded on the symptoms which include the emotion deregulation, psychological aggression, impulsivity, victimization and another predictable trait like physical assault perpetration.
