Case Study Instructions
Each student is responsible to turn in one (1) case study report at the end of the semester. The
case study will be due on the last day of finals week (12/16/2022) @ 11:59 pm. Please see
canvas for Case Study rubric. Each student will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Find and read a peer-reviewed article that is relevant to your chosen career. The article
must be written within the last 10 years.
2. Write a ONE PAGE MAXIMUM summary of the article using the template attached.
Please double space your summary. Your summary should contain 5 labeled sections
(purpose, hypothesis, methods, results, importance/application & relevance to future
career). Your summary must be written in complete sentences (no bullet points).
3. Identify a minimum of 5 terms in the article and break them down using the layout
provided (see attachment). For full credit, each medical term must include (at minimum)
1 root and a prefix OR suffix depending on the term.
4. Submit the summary and terms list as ONE DOCUMENT labeled as:
CaseStudy_Lastname_Firstintial (ie CaseStudy_Monterone_A). Students must also submit
the PDF full text version of the article used. A link to the article is not sufficient.
