Although analyzing statistical data can be challenging, it is equally challenging to convert these data into a written format. Therefore, in this activity, you will practice the important skill of data analysis and presenting statistical information in a written format. Using the provided datasets of offenses reported, calculate the mean, median, mode, max, min, and range for each of the crimes. The list of crimes includes violent crime total, murder and non-negligent manslaughter, legacy rape, revised rape, robbery, aggravated assault, property crime total, burglary, larceny-theft, and motor vehicle theft.

Statistical Information in Written Format
Violent crime total
From the year 1985 to 2014, there have been a total of 1514701 violent crimes. The mean for these crimes amounted to 50490.03 after integrating the product of the variable with its probability. The median was at 50968 since the number of terms was even. After selecting the two terms in the middle, which were 50241 violent crimes total in the year 2000 and 51695 violent crimes total in the year 2002 the median was arrived at. The max was 47104, which was the highest value and occurred in the year 1991 while the min was 7624, which was the lowest point in the data set and occurred in the year 2013. Property crime total
This category of crimes includes other types of crimes which are Larceny Theft, Burglary, and Motor Vehicle Theft. The total crimes are calculated from the year 1845 to 2014. The median was 136408 after diving the sum of the numbers in 2001 and 2003 since the data had even values. The max was at 256349 which was the highest value in the dataset and occurred in the year 1991, while the min was 83139 which was the lowest number in the dataset and it occurred in the year 2014. The range was 173210, and it shows the span of values within the dataset.

Burglary
For burglary property crimes, the mean was 33504.3333 after the crimes were added and divided by the number of the terms. The median was 25534.5 after averaging the values in 2001 and 2002 since the number of terms was even. Since the mean is greater than the median, the skewness will be positive, which will result in the right tail being longer. The max number was found in the year 1964 and was 64201 which was the highest number in the dataset while the mean was found in the year 2040 and was 15070 which was the highest number in the dataset. Larceny-theft
The mean for Larceny–theft was 87269.2333 after integrating the product of the variable with its probability. The median was 79667 after averaging the values in 2001 and 2002 since the terms in the dataset were even.
