Create a manual on any topic. This manual must include step by step instructions and use
visuals to help guide the reader.
You may choose from the following types of manuals:
– Instructional
– Training
– Service
– User
Your manual must include at least 7 steps (it can include more). Each step can be broken
down into sub-categories as needed
Your manual must include at least 3 images / visuals (it can include more). Each
image/visual should be used to help guide the reader. It should be related to the instructions
which it is linked to.
I have provided an example on Blackboard (“Manual Design”) which you can use to help see
how to combine written instructions and visuals.
Your manual should also include a table of contents.
You are expected to follow IEEE formatting. This includes in the table of contents and in the
manual itself. Review the lecture on formatting tables of contents, headings, and subheadings
(Week 9).
