Critical Questions
Post two separate questions (3 points each) that are inspired by the required readings and will respond to at least four other students’ questions (1 point each). Please respond to questions that have NOT yet been answered, if possible.
The questions should be those that a research psychologist might ask to better understand research findings and to move the field forward (e.g., What third variable might explain the correlation between Variable X and Variable Y? How do you explain the seemingly contradictory findings of Study A and Study B? What is an additional condition that could have been added to Study A to clarify the implications of one of the study’s main findings?). Think of questions that will challenge your classmates to think critically and creatively. When you respond to other students’ questions, be sure to add something new. It is fine to agree, as long as you add a different reason for your agreement.
Use APA style when citing your sources (both in-text citations and a reference list).
At least one of the required readings should be cited in each critical question, since you will be basing your questions on the assigned readings. Between the two questions, all assigned readings for that week must be cited at least once.
