Here are the most important things about the assignment:
– The assignment consists of 2 main parts: 1-A summary report 2-Presentation

– The group project will be mainly a pair work. The word count minimum limit is 800 words for pairs, 500 words for individuals. (If any group of 3 is approved, which is an exception, it will be 1200 words for them). There is no max limit for the summary.

– The summary report should have a title, introduction, main part, conclusion, and references. Introduction, main part, and conclusion parts do not need to be separated, titled, or numbered, but they can be titled and numbered separately as well if chosen so. Some practical info about the parts of the summary report:
 Title: A title of your choice. Centered, bold, Times new Roman, font 12, spaced 1.5 (fonts are for the whole report).

 Introduction: In this part, introduce the subject and the research that you selected and why you selected it. Mention the researchers, where research has been published and when. If there is a history for the specific research, you better mention it here. Same thing is valid for the subject. If the history of the subject or the background information is more complicated and long, you can use more than one paragraph to introduce the subjects or you can integrate the historical background part into the beginning of the main part of the summary report.

 Main part: use as much as sub parts/titles you need to summarize your subject and research here.

 Conclusion: Here you should conclude your report by rephrasing the main points of the research. Also, it is important for you to suggest/offer at least 1 implication/consequence/or possible next steps in this conclusion and try to make it your personal opinion for that purpose (even if you use the suggestion of researchers try to add your own opinion about those implications).

 References: should be in APA format. You should have at least 1 main research or published article in this section, and please mark it by placing a star (*) in front of that specific reference. Other links and resources can be added, there is no limit for the number of references.

Presentation
– For the presentation it is suggested to use a PowerPoint, Prezi etc. audio-visual program files, but all other formats are also allowed. The presentation is assumed as a matter of style so the Assessment will be mainly on the existence of the proper sections of presentation (once again a completion-based Assessment system): introduction; main part-summary of research; and conclusion. One exception here is the genuine effort for the presentation, including the presentation file.

– There is no limit for the presentation file, but for the presentation itself it is suggested to be between 10-15 mins. Let’s say minimum 5 mins, maximum 20 mins (that is sometimes dependent on how much available time we have in class). However, I should add that I care about the genuine effort part more than the time performance of the presentation (so just relax about the time in your presentation!).

– This semester, presentation is not mandatory, you can just record your voice for your presentation for a full mark. If chosen and presented in the class, you don’t need to record your voice again into your presentation (also there is a bonus for presenting in the class!).
