Assignment 3: Health Promotion Presentation
As a master’s prepared nurse, issues dealing with practice, healthcare disparity, healthcare literacy, education, research, funding, licensure/credentialing, management delivery systems, and access to health care can be examined. For this assignment, students will be introduced to PowerPoint (PPT) and Kaltura Media (resources found in Modules in Canvas).

Students will research and examine a current population health issue in today’s health care environment and develop a presentation to share new knowledge related to the issue and how the master’s prepared nursing role affects population health to improve patient and health outcomes. Students will develop a PPT to share new knowledge relating to a population health issue and then present using Kaltura Media.

Assignment Criteria:
Develop a Power Point presentation that includes the following criteria:
1. Brief overview of Healthy People 2020.(WEBSITE)
2. Identify one population health topic from Healthy People 2020. (I CHOSE: ACCESS TO HEALTH SERVICES)

3. Provide an overview of the chosen population health topic.
4. Choose and provide a brief overview of one objective from the chosen population health topic.
5. Explain the role(s) the master’s prepared nurse can adopt to improve patient and population health outcomes.
6. Once the PPT is created, utilize Kaltura media to present the PPT with voice over (use computer and microphone).
7. For presentation clarification, include presenter’s notes in the click to add section to explain the slide.
8. The PowerPoint presentation should not be more than 8-10 slides (excluding the title slide and reference slide) and 8-10 minutes in length. Be complete and concise. Use bulleted statements not complete sentences or paragraphs.
9. Use Help write my thesis – APA format for PPT, which always includes a title slide, a reference slide, and Help write my thesis – APA requirements. Resources found in Help write my thesis – APA Documents/Resources.
10. A minimum of three (3) references and the Healthy People 2020 website will be required for this assignment. References should be from scholarly peer-reviewed journals (check Ulrich’s Periodical Directory) and be less than five (5) years old. ( I WILL PROVIDE 3 JOURNALS), but you can use more if needed, but they have to be :scholarly peer-reviewed.

Include the following slides:

• Slide 1: Title-develop a title slide. This should include the title of the presentation, student name, and the university name. Use Help write my thesis – APA format (does not need to be in Times New Roman for a PPT)
• Slide 2: Introduction-Brief overview of the PPT. Use key bulleted points not paragraphs
• Slide 3: Purpose Statement-Develop the purpose statement utilizing the instructions above (use bulleted points)
• Slide 4: Overview of Healthy People 2020
• Slide 5: Healthy People 2020 population health topic area
• Slide 6: Overview of the population health topic
• Slide 7: Brief overview of one objective from the chosen topic population health topic
• Slide 8: Role the master’s prepared nurse adopt in improve patient and/or health outcomes.
• Slide 9: Conclusion-Include a summary of the main points covered. Again, utilize bulleted statements
• Slide 10: References in Help write my thesis – APA format (please include in-text citations on slides). References should be in Help write my thesis – APA format
