Project Guidelines-Software Option (Due Date: November 28,2022)
Read the following guidelines regarding your course project presentation and report. First, we would like to
remind you that your course final project is worth 30% of the final mark, distributed as follows:
A. First Progress Report: 5% (October 08, 2022)
B. Final Report: 15% (December 2, 2022)
C. Presentation and Project Demo: 10% (November 28-30, 2022)
A. First Progress Report
The Purpose of this report is to allow me to determine whether your project is possible within the remining
time of the semester, as well as to clarify roles and responsibilities regarding the acquisition of SW/HW if
necessary.
B. Final Project Report
The final report will be a source for assessing the work you have carried out in the project and therefore you
should invest time in preparing it. You should discuss all the important aspects of the project and the work
done. It should be written at a level suitable for students in your class and should be understandable by
readers with general knowledge of Information Technology. Please feel free to use figures as necessary.
Your final report should be organized as follows:
− Title page
− Table of contents
− Introduction(does not exceed one page)
− Project Idea
▪ States and explains the problem that your project will solve
− Design and Implementation
▪ Design: states how you design your project (add a scenario architecture figure)
→ In this section, you should talk about the software simulation that you used.
▪ Implementation: shows the Experimental Procedures with detailed steps and screenshots.
− Results/outcomes of the Experimental Procedures (with screenshots)
− Discussion – challenges, recommendations, and lessons learned
2
− Conclusion and future work (does not exceed one page)
− References (make sure the references are cited within the report)
In evaluating your report, we will be looking at the organization, readability, level of details, presentation
style of work done and results, references and citations. [see project Rubric below]
