An article I found particularly useful was “Strategies for Reading Scholarly Literature” (American Psychological Association [APA], 2020). The authors provided a framework for critically analyzing sources that has enhanced my ability to discern an article’s strengths and weaknesses. They outlined steps like assessing the authors’ credentials and institutional affiliations, evaluating the date and journal of publication, and examining evidence and citations.
