Accounting Industry Employment Trend Report Overview – Paper Instructions (Please make sure to follow all instructions provided to the tee) Employment Trend Paper: This is an individual project. Be sure to allow enough time to edit and proof well. This paper should acquaint the student with today’s employment environment for accountants in regard to required employability skills.

The paper should be 2 pages in length with a minimum of 4 credible sources related to hiring trends, changing employer requirements, and projected changes in skill sets and talent requirements in the Accounting Industry.

In other words, using 4 credible business publications, incorporate what the industry is alerting new entrants into the profession as critical career skills. The instructor will post specific sources for use in the assignment (see below in red please).

The paper should reflect college-level writing skills using APA writing style including:

• Times New Roman font • 12 pt type • Double-spacing throughout

• In—text citations and reference page using APA formatting, see links posted in Course Resources

• Edited and proofed well

• Research a minimum of 4 resources that identify skills that are critical to a successful career, using your accounting degree

• Include your MBTI and True Colors Assessment as a concluding paragraph. Based on your assessments, add any information from that helps you identify what your current personality assessment lends itself to the trends in the industry. (MBTI test– ISTJ; True Colors test result: Gold)

• Must have A References/Work Cited Page following the APA style (this should be separate from the 2 pages covering the content). Accountants in any field should be able to analyze data and write well. Be sure to use the 5 C′s of business communication–clarity, conciseness, correctness, completeness, and courtesy.
