Writing Assignment #3 Prompt: Susan Manning argues that segregated and integrated seating at performances between 1930 and 1970 influenced spectatorship and cross-viewing in relation to the dancing body. According to Manning, how did spectatorship and cross-viewing influence how the dancing body was “read” or understood as racially marked and unmarked?
