All the before mention states and the Federal Commander in Chief i.e. the Mayor’s of these cities and Governor’s of these states and the U.S. President

Coronavirus Effect on the United States Government
The Executive branch of GovernmentGovernment
The Executive branch of the United States is responsible for carrying out and enforcing laws. It primarily consists of the President, Vice President, and Cabinet. In line with the constitutional system and the face of the coronavirus pandemic, the Executive branch of the Government has the primary responsibility to confront the latter (Higgins, 2020). Their confrontation, in this case, is to enforce laws to guide its citizens in the prevention and spread of Coronavirus. The laws that have been signed by President Trump into action include:
● $8.3 billion emergency spending package, which is funding to authorities that are fighting to contain the outbreak in the country and $3 billion for vaccine research (Higgins, 2020).
● The President signs the Coronavirus Relief Plan to expand paid leave. The bill included provisions for emergency paid leave for employees in large businesses and expanded unemployment insurance and free testing.
● The President invoked the Defense Production Act to mobilize private business resources into the fight against the pandemic. The GovernmentGovernment will compel businesses to manufacture supplies needed in the battle (Higgins, 2020).
The Federal Reserve which is also part of the Executive has also focussed on fighting coronavirus which includes pumping up to $1.5 trillion into the financial system to calm the market, cut interests rates to nearly zero, announced $700 billion quantitative programs and created the Primary Dealer Credit Facility and the Commercial Paper Funding Facility to offer short-term funding to large financial firms to buy corporate papers from issuers (Higgins, 2020).

The Legislative Branch of Government
The Legislature, who are primarily lawmakers, have had several of them being exposed to Coronavirus. The question that is currently lingering on is whether to curtail their activities (Hulse & Fandos, 2020). These leaders are faced with the duty to protect themselves, their employees, and lots of people who move through Capitol Complex daily. While doing all this, they need to make sure its public is settled and confident enough in its GovernmentGovernment to continue working even in the face of crisis.
Congress members are also frequent travelers who take multiple flights weekly. This even puts them more at risk considering many of them, almost 50% of them belong to the 65 and above age bracket. The House and Senate are preparing lawmakers for potential disruptions in their duties, such as canceling legislative sessions and reducing public access to the Capitol (Hulse & Fandos, 2020). While Ms. Pelosi indicated that at the time, she does not see the reason to stop their vital legislative work at the Capitol, how the disease progresses will determine what happens. Currently, their legal work surrounds discussing the different bills focussing on fighting and mitigating the adverse effects of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The Judicial Branch of Government
The Coronavirus pandemic is causing extensive mass confusion and delays in addressing civil and criminal matters across the country (Buchanan, 2020). The main reason for this has been cited to be the lack of coordinated approach or delay in releasing nationally recognized practices for courts due to lack of leadership from the President and his team in the face of this outbreak. With the work reductions, a continuation of court services has been difficult. Additionally, Coronavirus being a threat to the older population poses a risk for many of the judges, older jurors, and parties involved.
With the restrictions in court services, persons who had been incarcerated awaiting trials, those needing protective orders, and those seeking other related important but pressing matters are affected. The backlog of cases that is about to be experienced in the state and federal courts is about to disrupt the state of affairs. For instance, the immigration courts have a backlog of 1 million cases, already indicating how worse the situation could get (Buchanan, 2020).
Nonetheless, some state court systems have adopted well-established pandemic and emergency response guidelines. For instance, Arizona has directed authorized judges to suspend local court rulings and orders when needed leaving them for the state appellate judges to handle. Conversely, at the federal level, the Supreme court has closed to the public for the foreseeable future, confusing future oral arguments. Other courts are looking into ways to make changes to their protocols (Buchanan, 2020).
Challenges of the Executive Branch of Government within the five significant municipalities
The problems that different municipalities concerning Coronavirus have been to reduce the spread and also mitigate the impact it will have. The respective executive officers have enforced orders to be followed that will ensure the pandemic is controlled in the respective regions.
New York: The challenges the Executive is facing in the face of the pandemic, such as having enough medical facilities to handle the increasing number of affected patients and ensure the medical facilities have medical supplies. New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo has reacted aggressively by calling for a virtual lockdown of all its citizens, ordering the closure of non-essential service’ businesses, and mainly closing down economic activity (Frost, 2020). These responses look to control and prevent further spread of Coronavirus within the region.
Los Angeles: The Executive’s main challenge is to curb the spread of Coronavirus to mitigate the spread (Luna, 2020). The State Governor, Gavin Newsom has released an executive order to have hotels medical facilities to treat coronavirus patients, government officials are allowed to hold a teleconference in private without breaking open meetings’ rules, expanded the state’s response to the outbreak, canceled significant scale events, and increased the period for filing taxes to 60 days in case one is affected by Coronavirus (Luna, 2020). These responses are dealing with the issues arising from the Coronavirus, and the governor indicates that the way the citizens behave determines how far the region will go.
New Orleans: Mayor Latoya Cantrell issued an order urging the respective residents to stay at home and go out for critical needs only (Regan et al., 2020). The mayor indicated the city is moving towards handling limited functions and operations. The country also brought in drive-through testing pilot programs to test more persons and reach symptomatic high-risk residents. The city is one of the hot spots that need to ensure that their people remain indoors to prevent spread that could cause deadly repercussions.
Chicago: Mayor Lori Lightfoot created a new section in this year’s budget to consolidate the pandemic’s expenses and enable her to move money around to cater to own costs without needing the City Council (Byrne, 2020). She also declared a state of emergency, established new funding lines, and reallocated appropriated funds to maximize their responses to the crisis. The main objective is also for the city to swiftly secure supplies and services needed to respond to Coronavirus.
Seattle: Governor Jay Inslee noted that some businesses were not voluntarily closing business to mitigate the spread and stated hefty fines were to be imposed (KIRO 7 News Staff, 2020). There was a mandatory call to have everyone stay at home except for those providing essential services. Others were only allowed to leave to get the vital functions.
