A healthcare leader’s ability to identify quality issues and develop strategies to improve patient outcomes is essential to achieving positive results. This essay summarizes three scholarly research articles that demonstrate three distinct leadership styles (servant, transformational, and transactional) and their impact on healthcare. The paper also identifies the leadership theory that aligns with my current leadership style and compares it to another leadership style used by healthcare leaders in these articles.

The first article, “Servant Leadership in Health Care: The Future of Health Care Leadership” by Victoria L. Bacon, explores the concept of servant leadership in healthcare. By adopting a servant leadership approach, I believe I can create a more supportive and collaborative work environment that fosters sustainable quality improvement.
