Role of a Nurse:

Nurses must ensure that patients have a supportive environment that can improve their health outcomes. Additionally, nurses should be advocates for healthcare issues, identifying barriers and possible solutions to health disparities such as lack of knowledge or income disparities. Nurses can minimize negative health outcomes by educating patients and creating awareness about health risks.
