For example, telehealth can be used to monitor patients remotely, reducing hospital readmissions and improving patient outcomes (Milstead & Short, 2019). Moreover, mobile health applications can provide patients with real-time health information, allowing them to make informed decisions about their health (Peterson, Adams, & DeMuro, 2015).

In conclusion, healthcare information technology is continuously evolving, and healthcare organizations must keep up with these trends to improve patient care outcomes, efficiencies, and data management.
