This is the 3rd component of a valid contract, and it denotes to a benefit like money, that each of the party gets from the other. In this scenario, the ticket holder has given out money in order to receive the ticket and thus get the permission to park his automobile.
Competence is present as well. Competence refers to the ability of a party to enter into a contract; in this regard, a party must at least have attained 18 years old, and be of sound mind (Burton, 2009). The party holder of the ticket is an adult. This is demonstrated by the mere fact of owning a vehicle. The ticket meets the mutual consent threshold. Overall, the law presumes that a competent party freely agrees to a contract (Levine, 2012). In this case, the ticket holder freely agreed to purchase the ticket to get the parking service. The legality threshold is also met. According to this component, a contract is perceived to be enforceable if the activity is legal. The transaction that takes place here is legal as its involves the selling of a ticket license
