EXAMINATION BY MR. HUTCHINSON
Name and profession
The deponent states his name as Jonathan Harbinger. He is currently an employee at Lassiter Central Clinic of Vermont (LCCV).
Educational background
Mr. Harbinger attended Concord County Community College where he earned an associate of applied science degree in radiologic technology. He became a registered radiologic technologist in the year 2012 and a certified radiologic technologist in the year 2013.
Process of certification
Mr. Harbinger is certified to practice radiology. Asked to describe the process needed to become a certified radiologic technologist, he states that, at a minimum, an associate degree is needed, coupled with satisfactory performance on a state-administered, nationally recognized examination.
Clinic hours and Clinical Experience
Asked to state the number of clinic hours he is supposed to complete as part of his education, Mr. Harbinger says that he was required to complete 320 hrs of supervised radiologic work at a center that is approved. Further queried about the center at which he performed the clinic hours, Mr. Harbinger cites Lassiter Central Clinic of Vermont. The deponent further states that he actually completed more than 320 hours in LCCV; under the state rules, once an individual is in the 2nd year of an accredited radiologic program, one can work in a department so long as he/she is under the Certified Radiologic Technologist’s supervision.
Employment background
Mr. Harbinger has been working at LCCV for a while now. Asked if he was employed by LCCV during his 2nd year as a student at Concord County Community College, Mr. Harbinger gives an affirmative answer. He states that he used to work for 20hrs per week, and prior to being employed on a permanent basis, he had worked for LCCV for 6 months. Queried on when he was hired permanently at LCCV, Mr. Harbinger says right after graduation. In a nutshell, the deponent has worked for LCCV for 2 years.
Procedure Manual
Mr. Harbinger states that he is familiar with procedure manual at LCCV. According to him, every person working at LCCV is required to read it and sign a form that indicates one has done so. Asked if he had read and signed the right form, the deponent responded in the affirmative.
