The information systems in healthcare and EPIC systems are vital tools used to enhance efficiency in health care facilities. The use of health information systems promote patients safety, improve staff efficiency, enhance communication, as well as improve healthcare quality in hospitals. The paper describes the use of hospital information systems (HISs), for instance, EPIC systems in a healthcare system.
The article explains in detail the information media systems facilitating storage and presentation of patient’s medical information as well as general hospital data. The EPIC computer systems are useful in every healthcare facility, especially in transferring medical information into other clinical institutes.
