This implies a 0.23 probability which still shows a very high likelihood (probability of 0.77) that a person may contract the virus. With other significant measures in place, such as wearing masks at all times, and sanitizing or practicing frequent hand washing, the virus viability is significantly reduced for the benefit of the non-infected person. Considering this study, the CDC has recommended leaving the middle seats empty could reduce the ability for the disease to spread by as much as 57%. A 0.57 probability of reduced virus viability shows a greater likelihood on average that more people within the plane will not catch the virus. Implying that in three row sections of the airplanes leaving the middle row empty would be adequate in reducing spread of the Corona Virus significantly. As a social distancing tool researchers opine that creating more room for the virus to travel provides weaker viability of the virus, even when the infected person does not have their mask on.
