I have picked human trafficking in United States as my topic I am going to email you two articles I have picked from my school library also please pick a video from you tube that is from like bbc news and it talks about human trafficking in usa. Also I need treaties against human trafficking

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery. Every year, many women, men, and children are trafficked for commercial labor or some forms of sex acts. Human trafficking can happen to any community. The victims can vary in race, nationality age, and gender. The traffickers can use manipulation or violence to lure their victims. Research shows that the traffickers often target people with vulnerability such as economic hardship, emotional and psychological issues (Trevelyan,2012). In the US, domestic servitude and sex trafficking are common but hidden from view. The victims are smuggled from across the border and coerced into prostitution. Some of them are assigned domestic work on the clock. The young victims are promised a good sales job that traps them in forced labor.
The US has established laws to curb human trafficking. Human trafficking in the US is a high profit and low-risk crime against humanity. States like Massachusetts have experienced the worse legislative record on human trafficking (Gallagher,2011). However. The proper legal framework has caused the improvement. The state has begun prosecuting traffickers. In the past year, the state has passed an anti-trafficking law that is leading in curbing human trafficking atrocities.
However, states like Wyoming have not passed any specific laws against human trafficking. The reason is that they are a small rural state that de=oes not experience a similar type of problems as other big states. Incidences of labor and sex trafficking have been reported in all 50 states. The Polaris Project that was operated by the HTRCH reported more than 57,000 calls of human trafficking since 2007. More than 100,000 minors are estimated to be commercialized for the sex trade in the U.S. Also, the federal prosecution system experience limited resources. Having the ability to prosecute through state court allows them to access adequate resources.

The trading of people across the globe is a lucrative business that generates 150 billion of illegal profits every year. The International Labor office states that two-thirds of the profit comes from sexual exploitation. The FBI has stated that child exploitation is at near epidemic levels. Many teenagers enter the sex trade system between the ages of 12 to 14 years. Many of them have reported having experienced sexual abuse as children (Aronowitz,2019).
Gabby from the US was abused by her father from the age of 12. The relationship influenced her perspectives that later led her to prostitution. The research found that 71 percent of the human trafficking victims are women and girls while boys account for 28 percent (Bales and Soodalter,2017) The most prominent forms of exploitation include being trafficked for labor, prostitution, porn production, forced into sham marriages, trafficked to be beggars and for porn production. The victims have reported going through rituals that put them into debt bondage. The rituals involve their body hair and the pledge that they will pay back their debt. Debt bondage has affected many victims.it is used as a method of control to prevent the victims from escaping.
