Introduction
Despite the many years’ researchers have put into the study of fatherhood post-divorce situations. Many political variations still arise whenever these topics come to play. Researchers tend to believe that understanding men in general and the masculinity concept goes a long way in providing a clear understanding of men when it comes to parenting or rather a fatherhood. With this in mind, studies show that this understanding of men remains limited. An example of the substantial gaps in experiences in our knowledge of fatherhood is seen in the fact that insight on the empirical issues faced, but working fathers remains unknown. It is a common understanding that fatherhood is seen as a practice and not an identity. These assumptions, when placed on social concepts, often bring about controversial ideas, and they are always contradictory depending on the situation. To this extent, it is very clear that more research needs to be conducted to chart how fathers and men in general are perceived (Fleming & Zegwaard 2018). This studies should also find ways to recognise fatherhood and normalise it, especially in roles involving single parent fathers and divorced parents. To what extent do men decide on whether to pursue their careers or play a laid back role to fully participate in fatherhood post-divorce? Where their notable changes in personalities and behaviours post the divorce or separation both in the handling of parental duties as well as their general personalities? Is divorce or separation a facilitator for different actions and behavioural patterns? These questions were considerate in that they factored in different occupational decisions as well as an intense analysis and examination on both sociological and non-sociological life-work balance when it comes to men and fatherhood.
Data Collection:
Due to the lack of committed researcher in the divorce parents and fatherhood topic. This essay will be both inductive and iterative.
