Unit 1 journal option: worldview and its relation to my anticipated work
People have different kinds of worldviews depending on their faith and belief. My own kind of worldview is known as theism. The word is made from the word theos which means God. This kind of worldview has four elements which include reality, man, truth and values. In reality I believe that there exists a God who created the world and everything in it. Reality according to my belief is both in material and spiritual form. In theism the world had a beginning and will have an end. In my worldview I also believe in the existence of men who are the most unique creation created by God since they were created by Gods own image. Additionally humankind is biological, personal, eternal and spiritual (Dennis, 2017). In conjunction to the above, the truth about the existence of God is known through revelation. The material world truth is gained also through revelation and the five senses that humankind have coupled with the rational thought. My kind of worldview encompasses morality which is implemented by moral values which are the absolute expression of an absolute moral being. This is my kind of worldview and this highly helps me relate well with others and also live and adapt well to the current world.
Theism and how it relates to the work
My anticipated occupation is being a pastor and the belief on humanity and existence of God will help me preach to the people not only by my actions but through also Gods word. The belief of reality and humankind will help me to know how to relate with people and also how to guide them in relating with each other as this is part of my work. Lastly the bible emphasizes on the moral values and hence this is highly relatable to my world view which also includes the moral values as an expression of the morality. My personal view of the world has influenced my line of career since they are highly relatable and can work hand in hand without problems. This will make my work easier and quality since all my life will involve one belief.

The other kind of worldview that exists is known as pantheism which also views the world in four main dimensions which include reality, truth, man and values. They believe that only the spiritual dimension exists and that all the other dimensions are just but illusions. They also believe that man is the one with ultimate reality hence he is spiritual, eternal and impersonal (Dennis, 2017). The truth to them is exercised by oneness of the universe. They also believe that there is no real distinction between good and evil. The pantheists are the Hindus, Taos, and Buddhists. They mainly live in the Asian continent and can also be found in other countries due to migration and also choice of religion. Their belief is controversial since they believe that God exists in everything that why they worship anything like cows and many other things that they have curved as their gods. Their belief in no distinction between good and evil is very questionable since there is a very big distinction between the two.
Unit 2 journal option: trinity and my faith
The doctrine of trinity is very essential and it is important for everyone to understand it so as to be able to worship well. Delighting in the trinity has enabled me to strengthen my faith in many ways. First, the existence of God in three forms has enabled me to have more faith since any of the forms can intercede for me no matter the circumstance. This has made me stronger and less worried since He exists everywhere. My faith has also strengthened since I now understand what god is like and I can now honour him fully. The trinity has also significantly contributed to my prayer application hence making me more prayerful. The understanding of the role of each person in the trinity has given me more comfort and appreciation for God in answering our prayers (Perman, 2006). It has also helped me learn on directing my prayers. However, at first it created a sense of confusion and made me go back on my faith since I did not understand well the role of each person and believed that there are three different Gods.

Moralistic therapeutic deism is very prevalent in our today’s society especially among the youth. This is so because many people are embracing the existence of a God who is mightier than all of us. This doctrine has elements that are in line with the religion hence very acceptable among many people. The Protestants and the catholic also have the same doctrines as those in the deism hence very widely known. Another reason for its acceptability is the fact that it inculcates a moralistic approach to life. This is not only a measure of humanity but also a practise since the old good days. MTD provides therapeutic benefits to those who adhere to it (smith, 2005). The benefits include happiness, peace and unity among ourselves which are among the greatest kind of benefits that one can ask for.
Moralistic therapeutic deism is however not compatible with Christianity because it doesn’t have a dominant civil religion. They are not organised and have no origin, beliefs or a future hope. Secondly, the doctrine has made many believers to shift from their Christian identification to the undemanding dimensions of MTD (Smith, 2005). Its lack of organisation and just a belief among majorly teenagers makes so incompatible to Christianity which is more organized.
Question 2
Human flourishing is very important since it helps one grow in all aspects. The person grows emotionally, spiritually, socially and economically since they will have no doubts or worries since they believe in being good, doing well to others and ourselves. The triune god is very central since the doctrine depicts that there is only one God which is so true. God then is in three forms which include the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. This does not mean that there are three gods but that God can manifest himself in these three forms and still help a person hence it is central and very effective. I agree with Vladimir lossky’s claim since the trinity is the core of our faith, Christianity belief and our salvation. The different form manifests itself in our lives and helps us overcome very many temptations. There is no choice since the trinity forgives our sins and gives us new lives and if you do not choose them you definitely destined for hell.
Unit 3 journal option: MTD’s influence on my faith
Most Christian denominations put much emphasis on keeping the Sabbath holy and honouring the commandments. However, when you look at the deeper meaning of the moralistic therapeutic deism it gives more emphasis on doing good and humanity. It says that doing well unto others and treating other people with humane is the ultimate thing. This has really influenced my faith and made me be more humane rather than being the typical Christian who lays more weight on following the commandments and being more judgmental. Treating other people well and doing good is so much essential and will bring more benefits and unity.

They both relate the creation with the trinity. Before creation reeves admires the great relationship that exists between the father, son and the Holy Spirit and how they believe in this makes one so happy and changes everything (Reeves, 2012) Creation of the human being is seen as an outwork of Gods own loving triune nature. The son is entirely the blue print of creation and man is created in the image of him so that he can entirely love them and this is reflected when he dies for our sins on the cross. Wright on the other hand also emphasize on the son as the sole core of the creation. This is in comparison with reeves’ point of view. However he states that the manifestation of Jesus through the creation is like a seed that will keep on growing. He compares creation to the theory of evolution and states that Adam and eve as the first historical people (Wright, 2010 ). This then distinguishes it from reeves teaching on creation.
Question 2
Wright asserts that ethics and mission are linked. This is because when one is called by God to serve him he is called so as to act as a role model for others who will be called through him. This then transforms into a mission of electing others through your calling. However, for one to be called he has to have good deeds and start being like God in his actions and deeds. This then shows ethics have to come in between the calling and fulfilling the mission. This ethics include having a good heart, walking in Gods ways and embracing discipleship (wright, 2010)
