Additionally, they must work collaboratively with teachers when working directly with students or serve as a source of support in professional development, planning, and providing instruction to students.
Imagine you are applying for a job as a reading specialist/literacy specialist at an elementary school. The administrators have requested you come prepared with an action plan demonstrating how you will promote, establish, and sustain collaboration across grade-level teams and school, district, and community stakeholders in promoting reading and writing across the content areas.
Identify one grade level (K-8) and create a 750-1,000 word action plan to present to the administration. Address the following in the action plan:

• Active engagement
• Access to materials
• Access to technology
