Peter Tripp was a New York City radio DJ who conducted a sleep deprivation experiment in 1959. He stayed awake for 201 hours, which is just over eight days, as a publicity stunt to raise money for the March of Dimes charity. During the experiment, Tripp experienced a range of physical and mental symptoms, including hallucinations, delirium, and irritability. He also had difficulty concentrating and making decisions.
