Whether you have worked in the information technology field before or are just starting to learn about this field you have most definitely been affected or worked directly with one or more of the core concepts of content, application, services and infrastructure in modern business environments. These concepts are the basic structure of what an information technology professional provides to an organization. It is essential that there is a strong understanding of these concepts, how they integrate and influence one another.

Select one of the four core CASI Model concepts; 1) content, 2) applications, 3) services or 4) infrastructure and relate it to a specific technology, application, integration or issue that you worked on at your current or former place of business. Define how the concept related to this specific integration or issue. Explain why your selection fits in to the category of the concept you chose.
Write an APA formatted paper between 500 and 700 words in length, not including the title and reference pages. Include at least one reference reinforcing your opinion within your paper.

Although information systems create many opportunities for modern businesses, some issues arise in terms of the core concepts of content, application, service and infrastructure. Information technology is mostly used in business operations, unlike personal or entertainment technologies, because it helps in communications and information technologies. The design, development, use and maintenance of computer systems, software and networks and support of computer-based information systems composes information technology.
Application of cloud computing services in business
One of the CASI model concepts that I have worked on in my place of work is services where I have applied the cloud computing services. The cloud technologies allowed the business to perform its main functions in a completely new environment (Attaran & Woods, 2019). That gave a good basis for the expansion or starting up of the business without spending a lot of money. Cloud computing specifically gives convenient access to computing resources that are shared, which can be delivered to a large number of users quickly and activated with less effort by service providers.
The merging of the computational power of various hardware services shared and used by many users is what cloud computing means. The service has provided numerous advantages in the business, like first, there have been reduced investments for physical infrastructures and the cost for IT personnel. There is no need for the business to purchase software licenses, servers and network equipment that are expensive. Second, it gets hard sometimes for small businesses to afford to pay licenses and the latest versions of software, but with the use of cloud technologies, the applications will always be up-to-date.
Third, cloud computing has allowed the business that I work in to increase or decrease the computing capacity, and expand business activities and processes. The business growth and expansion is supported by the opportunities for the fast and unlimited provision of software applications and computing power. Fourth, quick response and reaction ability to conditions that are always changing, and the needs of consumers must be adopted by the economic environment of today. Cloud computing has helped the business adapt to services, processes, and products to the new market situations, making it more competitive.
The services concept offered by cloud computing is a specific technology related to the business’s growth. It helped the business grow tremendously since it made administration very easy by the use of a web browser, there were reduced costs since the business no longer paid for legacy license fees, the documents were made easily accessible with the use of various devices and browsers, and lastly, sharing and collaboration of documents for easy tracking of changes was made possible which increased the productivity of the business. My selection, which is the service concept, best fits this category since it explains how cloud computing, a specific technology, Helps in the growth of a business.
In conclusion, cloud computing is important in any business since it has the potential for speed, flexibility, and efficiency in the business’s activities and processes. Transferring the business into clouds helps it achieve economic benefits that are quite significant without the cost of a physical IT infrastructure. It gives a way of managing the business’ computing resources online. Cloud computing is generally regarded as the third party for storage and computing needs. Information technology professionals provide basic structures of the CASI model concepts of information technology, which are necessary for any business.
