The modern age of technology has ushered in an influx of information through online and mobile applications. Big data is the result of this. It comprises of computational analysis of these vast amounts of data to reveal patterns, trends, and associations mostly relating to human behavior. Unstructured big data is difficult to collect, process, and analyze as it has no pre-defined format (Taylor, 2018). NoSQL is the most recognized and reputable computing system that handles unstructured data. It is an improvement on the traditional SQL system that handled large amounts of structured data. NoSQL allows the insertion of data with no particular predefined schema. By doing so, it enables faster iterations and updates. Each row can have its own set of column values. On top of that, it supports automatic database replication, auto-sharding, and integrated caching.
Q2: What would life be in a ternary world?
A ternary world refers to using three as the base of numeral systems as opposed to using two as currently used. From an IT perspective, this means relying on three-state trits rather than two-state bits. In the past, there have been various attempts to create a ternary programming language and numbering system. Louis Howell proposed such in 1991 to no avail (Brown, 2019). The main reason behind the failure of ternary systems can be deduced from the fact that binary systems have functioned effectively so far. Ternary technology is also a relatively unexplored territory. The idea of adding a new dimension to the existing numbering system proves challenging. Ternary computers have not been able to function as effectively as should on paper further discouraging such innovations. Furthermore, the emergence of a qubit numbering system could divert more funds away from the creation of a ternary world. Quantum bits offer faster computing and the ability of multiple computations to be executed at once.
