The clock speed is the speed of the Central Processing Unit (CPU) or the processor of the device in interpreting and executing instructions contained in the software application. High clock speed is important to the device since it plays an important role in the ability of the device to respond to requests and process the request. The device with high clock speed will also have the ability to hold more software applications and run them multiply without the device hanging or delay the response time. Therefore the clock speed for Microsoft Surface Book 2 15-Inch 4.2GHz Max is higher than that of Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, which is 2.41GHz Max. Individuals choosing between the two devices based on the ability to host many applications and being able to interpret and execute software applications faster would end up picking for Microsoft Surface Book 2 15-Inch due to its high clock speed.

Cache memory acts as a buffer between the RAM and the CPU and helps in reducing the average time to access data from the main memory. Microsoft Surface Book 2 15-Inch has more than 744GB of cache memory than Samsung Galaxy Tab S6, which has 256GB compared to 1000GB of Microsoft Surface Book 2 15-Inch.
