A community health nurse can conduct health assessments of individuals, families, and communities to identify their health needs and risks, develop appropriate interventions and evaluate outcomes.
ii. Policy Development: The process by which communities prioritize health problems, develop policies, and allocate resources to address them. A community health nurse can be involved in identifying the health policies and advocating for health policies and regulations that support community health.
iii. Assurance: The role of public health to ensure the provision of services to meet public health needs. A community health nurse can conduct health promotion, disease prevention activities, provide immunizations, and ensure access to healthcare services for individuals, families, and communities.
