Assignment: Vignette: Kelly, a 45-year-old bus driver comes to your office because she is having trouble adjusting to a crisis. She tells you that she was in an accident while driving students to school on a rainy day. Several students were injured and one of them in is in a coma. For the final assignment for this course, students will consider all the concepts addressed in weeks 1-6. Consider this content as you conduct a ‘mock’ crisis role play analysis based on the vignette. Specifically, students will address the following: Read the case study above. Create a dialog and role play script for this crisis situation. Use one of the following intervention models to help Kelly with this crisis. For your dialog: You choose either the ABC model from A Guide to Crisis Intervention. The eight steps of crisis counseling described in chapter 9 OR the CISD seven step model in chapter 11 of The Complete Guide to Crisis and Trauma Counseling, Write an essay detailing the possible long term responses to this crisis and how interventions used in the script can be helpful. Instructions: The role play script should be 1 to 2 pages in length following the outlined criteria above. Essays should be about 2 to 4 pages double spaced, following the above criteria and using APA citation with at least 3 sources to support ideas (At least one being the textbook).
